What’s On My Desk: Graham USA’s Samir Shah
Ever wonder what the most powerful leaders, business execs and celebrities keep on their desks? Well, we’re about to tell you. Our biweekly “What’s on My Desk” feature will take a look inside the offices and at the desks of the world’s most influential power players.
This week we’ve featured Samir Shah, the man behind some of the most luxurious watches in the world. He is the Managing Director of Graham USA, a company that manufactures their exclusive timepieces in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the watchmaking capital of Switzerland. It is also a company that happens to be the official time partner of 2012 Stanley Cup winners the LA Kings. Here is a look at the items on Samir’s desk:
1. My TI calculator because I’ve been using this or something similar since I was 12. When doing all my calculations, I prefer seeing all numbers on the screen at the same time.
2. As a jeweler (I’m also in loose diamonds/jewelry manufacturing/etc), my loop and tweezers are never far from my side. I’ve become so accustomed to using my loop, I actually use it while looking at watches that have come in as well.
3. You’ll always find a short glass of water on my desk – so I’m forced to get up to refill my glass every 20 minutes or so.
4. You’ll notice is my desk is always clean and clutter free, I’m very particular – that’s not just for this picture!
