This Saturday, May 11th the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center (Tel-Hi) will host their annual dinner celebration, A Taste of Tel-Hi, at the Joe DiMaggio Playground in the North Beach neighborhood. Now in its 123rd year, the annual dinner has raised over $225,000, in support of Tel-Hi’s programs and services.
This year, “Taste” will feature San Francisco’s most exciting and talented culinary professionals and top restaurants including Chef Jennifer Puccio of Park Tavern, Chef Rob Lam of Butterfly and Chef Brandon Peacock of Venticello Ristorante. The evening’s activities will include a reception with bites from E&O Asian Kitchen, Fishbowl, Herbs & Spice Catering and Piperade as well as wine from Fog Harbor Fish House and Bink Wines. A live and silent auction will also take place, to help raise money for Tel-Hi. Sponsors of the event include Wells Fargo, the San Francisco Giants, Pier 39, Bridge Housing, Sterling Banks & Trust among others.
Long-time Tel-Hi and community supporter and founder of the John Stewart Company, John Stewart and Valerie Tse of Salesforce have stepped up to be co-chairs for this year’s event.
Tel-Hi has focused on providing stability in families, building skills and trust in children, youth and adults as well as supporting seniors in remaining vital and independent since 1890. This annual dinner is an opportunity to bring together the community, volunteers, sponsors and neighborhood supporters to raise money for this historic neighborhood center.
