Snowmass Resorts Meet Standards of “Excellence”

News | May 30, 2013

Two Snowmass resort properties, the Viceroy and Westin, were recently awarded a “certificate of excellence” from TripAdvisor, meaning their guests continually gave the properties a “4” or higher, out of a possible 5, when reviewed on tripadvisor.com. Eight K, the restaurant at the Viceroy Snowmass, also received the award.

TripAdvisor reports that the top-performing 10 percent of businesses worldwide receive this recognition. It’s the world’s largest travel website.

The awards announcements come at the same time that the Aspen Daily News reports that bookings for the Food & Wine Classic are down in Aspen, while stronger in Snowmass for the 2013 event, June 14-16. The 250-room Westin reopened in November after a multi-million dollar remodel, and the Viceroy Snowmass opened its luxurious digs in 2009. Both are part of  Snowmass Village’s Base Village development.
