The spring social season is in full flight! In March, I went to an event at Sotheby’s hosted by Stephanie and Peter Brant, Brooke Garber Neidich and Dan Neidich, and the Child Mind Institute Board of Directors. Several amazing works by prominent artists were auctioned off and all of the proceeds benefited the Child Mind Institute’s groundbreaking neuroscience research initiatives. The critical research will help in the area of child brain development and lead to the development of new treatments and diagnostic tools for psychiatric disorders. Some of the guests included host committee member Christine Mack, Harold Koplewicz, Brooke Neidich, Peter Brant, Stephanie Seymore, Peter Brant Jr., Tony Shafrazi, Larry Gagosian, Vito Schnabel, Aby Rosen, John McEnroe, and Edward and Julie Minskoff. Later that night, I went to Susan Block Casdin’s charity event at The Plaza for the Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at NYU Langone Medical Center. The money raised serves the needs of all children regardless of their ability to pay, with the most cutting edge medical care, and critical psycho social and emotional support programs for children and their families. Alice Tisch, Carol Alt and Dylan Lauren were also there.

As much as I love New York, sometimes it’s nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I went to London to celebrate Dino Lalvani’s 40th birthday with an 80-person seated dinner at 5 Hertford Street Members Club, which hosts Loulou’s nightclub. Fait Accompli planned such a lovely event. The dress code was black tie with an Indian Raj twist. So many people came out for the festive celebration. Dino’s sister, Divia, and I hired Ines and Ena Talakic to make a video that played during the party. During the next night of my trip, I went to a 500-person black tie event at One Mayfair. They flew in DJ Jackie from St. Tropez. Some of the guests included Prince Pavlos, Pia Getty, Prince Nicos, Nat Rothschild, Princess Beatrice, Serena Nikka, Caroline Bunster, Caroline Seiber, Rena Sindi, Jen Creel, Denis Basso, Santiago Gonzalez, Heather Kerzner, Eugenie Niarchos, Georgina Cohen, Francesca Versace, Ana Paula Junqueira and Jonathan Lourie.

When I got back from London, I went to Christie’s opening for Sante D’Orazio “Other Graces” exhibition hosted by Inga Rubenstein and Pippa Cohen. It was such a great show with great photography and such sexy shots. The crowd was great too! I spotted Brian Atwood, Dylan Lauren, Genevieve Jones, Salman Rushdie, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, Keith Rubenstein, Amy Phelan, Giovanna Battaglia, Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, Masha Markova, Marshall Heyman, Richard Sax, Brooke Shields, Richard Prince and Karen Larrain. Spring is off to a great start!
