6 Wyeth Paintings Sell for $2 Million at NYC Auction

Six paintings by the famous Wyeth family of artists recently sold for more than $2 million at a New York City auction. According to The Associated Press, the sale included three by Andrew, two by Jamie and one by N.C. Wyeth.

N.C.’s 1938 oil painting entitled “Norry Seavey Hauling Lobster Traps Off Blubber Island” fetched an astounding $844,000.

The seller, a New Jersey businessman named Eric Sambol, began his collection in 2000.
