‘Glass Menagerie’ Coming to Broadway In September
“The Glass Menagerie” starring Tony Award-winning actress Cherry Jones and Zachary Quinto is coming to Broadway this September for a 17-week run, reports The New York Times.
Directed by the Tony winner John Tiffany, the play will begin preview performances on Sept. 5 at a Shubert theater to be announced later and open officially on Sept. 26.
“The Glass Menagerie” previously appeared on Broadway in 2005 in a production starring Jessica Lange and Christian Slater, but received mixed to negative reviews. However, the new revival has been praised for its acting and inventive staging during its wintertime run in Cambridge, Mass.
