Haute Event: The Los Angeles Ballet’s Rubies Gala

The Los Angeles Ballet presented one very glamorous affair over the weekend by presenting its 2013 Rubies Gala at the Beverly Wilshire.

Gala Chairs Lori Milken and Kirsten Sarkisian as well as LAB Artistic Directors Thordal Christensen & Colleen Neary presented the intimate affair inside the hotel’s ballroom.

Philanthropist Linda Duttenhaver, as well as Nigel Lythgoe, who flew in from Las Vegas for the ceremony, were honored at the event.

Speeches from the gala chairs and honorees were followed by an elegant dinner at the Haute Living sponsored event before ballerinas from the Los Angeles Ballet took to the stage for a preview performance of Balanchine Festival RED.

Relativity Media founder Ryan Kavanaugh then auctioned off walk-on parts in his latest film, The Crow, helping to raise $200,000 for the ballet.

Attendees including Michael Milken, Rosetta Getty, Balthazaar Getty, Christa B. Allen, David Arquette, James Van Der Beek, Nigel Lythgoe, DWTS Kym Johnson, Anna Trebunskaya, Ethan Peck and Gleb Savchenko then took to the dance floor to the music of JT and California Dreamin’ to cap the gala, which was produced by John Terzian and Markus Molinari.
