Haute 100 New York Update: Beyoncé Named Honorary Chair of the Met Ball
2013 is shaping up to be a busy year for Beyoncé! In addition to headlining the Super Bowl, releasing an HBO documentary, starring in a fashion campaign for H&M and embarking on a world tour, the 31-year-old pop star is serving as honorary chair of this year’s Met Ball.
Beyoncé will join the benefit’s co-chairs who include actress Rooney Mara, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, Lauren Santo Domingo and Vogue Editor-in-Chief and Conde Nast Artistic Director Anna Wintour, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
The May 6 ball celebrates the opening of the museum’s “Punk: Chaos to Couture” exhibition.
