Mercato Baked Goods 850-

Dena Marino of MC Kitchen has officially opened her Italian Specialty Market, Mercato, next door to the restaurant in the Design District. Mercato serves on-the-go gourmet sandwiches, soups, quiches, baked good and salads for breakfast and lunch, as well as high quality items including pastas, sauces and Marino’s very own Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

“We truly felt that the neighborhood was lacking a great, quick, on-the-go breakfast and lunch spot,” said Chef Dena. “There are a growing number of businesses and young professionals in the Design District, and we wanted to cater to their busy lifestyles by providing fast and fresh food.  At Mercato, we will offer the same delicious and high quality cuisine found at MC Kitchen, but scaled down for patrons in-transit with items such as baked goods, Lavazza coffee, sandwiches, pressatas, salads, quiches, soups and so much more.”

Items on the menu include Rosemary Cotto Parma Ham and Provolone Cheese on a freshly-made buttery croissant, or Albacore Tuna Salad on a multi-grain baguette with meyer lemon mayonnaise. Customers also have the opportunity to purchase Marino’s favorite ingredients and products from around the world.
