The founders of Coastal Luxury Management, David Bernahl and Rob Weakley, will be expanding their festival/event/restaurant empire by taking over the former Towne space in Los Angeles to open a new restaurant concept.

According to Eater, the new restaurant will open in downtown Los Angeles soon, but no details about what type of restaurant it will be have been released yet. Entrepreneurs Bernahl and Weakley are well known for events, restaurants, management and consulting, including the popular Pebble Beach Food & Wine festival, the Los Angeles Food & Wine festival, Monterey’s 1833 restaurant, and Cannery Row Brewing Company.

The shuttered Towne space is reportedly where all of last summer’s Los Angeles Food & Wine festival after-parties took place, according to Zagat. The upcoming LAFW festival will once again be in downtown Los Angeles, and it may incorporate some more local flair. The festival typically brings in thousands of foodies and celebrity chefs such as Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Wolfgang Puck, Michael Mina, and more.

The new restaurant will be located at 705 W. 9th St. in downtown Los Angeles.
