Bloomingdale’s Home Store Upcoming Events

According to the calendar, Spring is here, but the actual weather is proving to be a bit stubborn. But the warm-up is sure to come and with that warm-up comes spring-cleaning and wedding season. And lucky for anyone who’s interested in either one of these activities, Bloomingdale’s Medinah Home Store (600 North Wabash) has a couple upcoming events for you. The first is happening tonight (Wednesday April, 3) and is a “Pre-Wedding” Wedding Party, which will feature Modern Luxury Brides Chicago Social’s Editor-in-Chief, Elise Hofer. There will also be a dozen wedding party vignettes designed with the expertise of award-winning celebrity wedding planner Debi Lilly of A Perfect Event.  The event will feature tips on perfecting your registry and planning a wedding. There will be a chance to scan your registry, sip on some refreshments, and sample some hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Pure Kitchen Catering. You get to party a little while hopefully being inspired by great tips from wedding experts. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that there will be cake tastings.

The next event the Bloomingdale’s Medinah Home Store will be on April 13, from 2-4PM there will be a demo kitchen where guests can enjoy fresh flavors of Spring with Christopher Tong from My Private Chef. I really like the first name, I can tell this will be a great event. The chef will be demonstrating how to make pea soup with mint and crème fraiche along with a strawberry, brie cheese, honey and basil crostini.
