“Wonderland” 26th Annual Spring Brunch & Fashion Show benefiting Chicago House
Chicago House, the first organization in the Midwest to provide housing and support for people living with HIV and AIDS, are excited to celebrate their 26th Annual Spring Brunch and Fashion Show at the Harold Washington Library. The Chicago House plans to feature a “Wonderland,” theme that featuring a three-course brunch, silent auction and fashion show headlined by local Chicago boutiques and designers.
The event is to be held in the beautiful Winter Garden Ballroom at Chicago’s Harold Washington Library, Chicago House CEO Stan J. Sloan and Co-Chairs Colin Falco and Shira Kollins are aiming to kick off spring brilliantly. “This year’s “Wonderland” theme is about defying the traditional “Wonderland invokes a world of nonsense, and we hope to take our guests on a topsy-turvy journey which will tease at storybook characters, with a fashionable twist,” says Manager of Special Events Jeremy Hilborn. “Chicago House serves such a diverse population, including members of Chicago’s LGBT community, and we want to relay a message that in our own “Wonderland,” anything goes!”
With over 400 expected attendees, guests will enjoy a three-course gourmet brunch and shop a fantastic 100-item silent auction. Guests can also purchase flowers at the one-of-a-kind “Flower Market,” a favorite attendee pastime at this event. The market will feature a variety of over 60 fresh floral arrangements from 6 different local floral designers, all sold to benefit Chicago House.
The fashion show will headline spring 2013 looks from AZZA, Cram, Bonobos, Lulu’s On The Avenue, Suit Supply, Ramsey Prince Designs and Ricorso.
The organization will also present its annual Spirit Award to openly gay Illinois State Representative Kelly Cassidy, in acknowledging her ongoing advocacy for women, the LGBT communities, and Chicago House.
Tickets are $200 for Garden Seating (table of 10/$2000) and $300 at the Runway (table of 10/$3000). The event will be held in the Winter Garden Ballroom, 400 South State Street at the Harold Washington Library Center on Sunday, May 5th, from 12 noon – 3:30 pm.
