Jack Nicholson Sells Aspen Home for $11 million

News | March 22, 2013

Actor Jack Nicholson has sold his West End Aspen home for $11 million, the Aspen Daily News reported. Nicholson and friend, Lou Adler, purchased the 5,800-square foot house more than three decades ago. The property was listed a year ago for $15 million.

Built in 1890, it’s known as the Newberry House and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house overlooks Hallam Lake. Nicholson and Adler reportedly bought the house after already owning additional property in Aspen, because neither of their other homes got TV reception, according to “Five Easy Decades,” Dennis McDougal’s book about the actor. The five-bedroom, seven-bath house sits on a quarter acre. Nicholson still has at least one other property in the Aspen area.

The buyer is listed as Lake 206 LLC.
