Just one year after her death, it came as no surprise that Clive Davis would honor Whitney Houston at his annual pre-Grammy party. Thus, the music executive played a recorded performance of Houston’s “All the Man I Need” during his Feb. 9 dinner party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. A slew of other artists performed during the evening, including Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight, Usher and Patti Smith. During the evening, L.A. Reid was presented with the “Salute to Industry Icons’ award. Sean “Diddy” Combs, Johnny Depp, Sting, John Mayer, Katy Perry and Joni Mitchell were also among the haute crowd of guests.
