Filmmaker George Lucas has been named among the world's richest billionaires by Forbes magazine.
Filmmakers George Lucas has been named among the world’s richest billionaires by Forbes Magazine.
Lucas, creator of the Star Wars Empire, was ranked number 346 of the list of the “Richest People on the Planet” at US$3.9 billion.
This year, Mexican telecommunications mogul Carlos Slim topped the list with a net worth of US$73 billion. Businessman Bill Gates is the runner-up with US$67 billion and Spanish fashion executive Amancio Ortega is third with US$57 billion.
Also making the rich list are Facebook.com co-founder Mark Zuckerberg (US$13.3 billion), Jaws director Spielberg (US$3.2 billion) and Oprah Winfrey (US$2.8 billion).
