FL Café Is South Beach’s Newest French Eatery

France natives and brother and sister duo Nicolas Coussens and Elise Fable have teamed up with former Fontainebleau chef Jose Monier in their creation of SoBe’s latest French café. Located within a historic Art Deco building on Collins Avenue, the French eatery’s sleek interior is a contemporary fusion of a 1950’s diner with subtle touches of 19^th century France. Patrons dine comfortably in tufted black leather booths paired with candy apple seats under 150 year-old suspended French lamps.

The man behind the kitchen, Monier, is bringing to the table what he describes as “diner classics with a French accent”. The menu will comprise of dishes such as croque madame, tuna tartare, half-pound burgers, Chilean sea bass and beef tartare, all spun with some French flare.

FL Café also offers a breakfast menu filled with classics such as eggs, just about any way you like them, French toast, baguettes, and croissants, and churrasco steak and eggs. Pair any of the morning plates with a classic mimosa or peach bellini.
