Elisabeth Hasselbeck To Leave ABC’s ‘The View’
Only one day after Joy Behar announced her plans to plans to leave ABC’s “The View” at the end of its current season, various news outlets are reporting that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is departing the show as well.
Even though Hasselbeck, 35, has been a fixture on the daytime talk show for nine years, a source told Us Weekly that her contract will not be renewed for next year. “The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing,” added the insider. “People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth.”
The show’s producer and main host, Barbara Walters, said she would explain the moves on today’s program.
