Two superchefs are joining forces for a cause this April.

Suzanne Goin, the force behind LA’s A.O.C., Lucques and Tavern will team up with Alice Waters of Chez Panisse to host a fundraising event for the Larchmont Charter School of West Hollywood.

The ladies are coming together to raise funds for a kitchen in the school which will not only transform school lunches (lucky kids) but to bring edible education full circle in the form of fresh goods from the local organic farmers’ market and healthy ethnic lunches that are low in fat and salt.

“Lunch Matters” is a component of the Edible Schoolyard and is slated to be a model for other public schools in LA that are seeking a better food education for their students.

Waters and Goin will be signing cookbooks with proceeds to benefit the new LCW Kitchen.

Tickets for the April 21 event to be held at The Carondelet House range from $150 to $5,000.
