What’s On My Desk: Taryn Luciani, Director of Product Development for Saks Fifth Avenue

Taryn Luciani is the Director of Product Development for Women’s Ready-to-Wear at Saks Fifth Avenue, focusing on all exclusive and private brands for WEAR. Taryn came to Saks two years ago after a career on the wholesale side. She’s worked with some of the industry’s top fashion designers including Donna Karan, Vera Wang, Zac Posen and Alexander Wang.

Here’s what she keeps on her desk to stay inspired:

Framed note from my mother to my uncle
The note says, “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.” It keeps me grounded.

Various beauty products
L’Occitane Hand Cream, Tom Ford lipstick in Casablanca and MAC Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist. I apply all of these throughout the day.

The latest fashion magazines, especially Women’s Wear Daily
Even though I read most of the articles online, I still love to dog-ear my favorites. I also have a copy of this week’s TIME featuring my baby brother’s company, Nifty Thrifty (niftythrifty.com).

Bulletin board
My bulletin board serves as a reminder, inspiration and vision board. I post pictures of Cartier’s Juste un Clou, my niece Liza, my accounting calendar and thank you notes.
