The Goddess and Grocer opens new location on Larrabee
One of Chicago’s favorite neighborhood Delis, caterers & cafes, the Goddess and Grocer with three locations under its belt, has just expanded its fourth location in the trendy River North neighborhood yesterday. Offering it’s discerning customers a selection of great food- from made to order items and prepared foods to house made desserts, specialty grocery items and an extensive wine selection.
Guests will be greeted with clean lines and a modern, yet rustic décor in this 1,600-square-foot space. Seating 36 at communal and bar tables, it will feature white walls and ceilings, exposed pipes and concrete columns, a subway tile backsplash, modern light fixtures, reclaimed wood shelves with iron framing, a concrete floor and a sidewalk cafe for warmer months.
The shop will feature customer favorite Goddess specialties, with both made to order and ready to eat or heat items, including sandwiches, salads, soups and prepared foods like appetizers, entrees and side dishes. Sweet treats are never forgotten with an array of house made cookies, cakes and desserts. The store will also feature a selection of specialty grocery items, mostly locally made. An assortment of chocolates, cheeses, jams, pastas, sauces, chips, salsas and beers, along with a thoughtfully chosen wine selection will fill the shelves. Catering and delivery will also be available.
“We had a great customer base with delivery and catering in the River North area and a space became available, so we signed the lease!” says Owner Debbie Sharpe. “We are growing everyday!”
