A Valentine for fashion lovers, the new flagship Topshop store opens today in Los Angeles. As the brand’s first West Coast store, the new location will open its doors at 4 p.m. at The Grove.

After much anticipation, the West Coast’s first Topshop store is opening today and, according to LA Racked, it’s spacious and fully stocked, filled with their unique assortment of trendy merchandise for men and women. The store includes “shoe and denim lounges, VIP dressing suites, a men’s suiting section and much, much more.”

The new multi-level store is 25,000 square feet with nearly 40-foot ceilings. The store takes over the former Banana Republic, which moved several doors down to a smaller location.

Rick Caruso, chief executive of Caruso Affiliated, the developer of The Grove, said, “Topshop is one of the all-time great retailers on a global platform, and they are really planting a flag here. There is something unique about Topshop in L.A. that’s different than other locations. It’s the right energy and the right customer.”

The chain’s owner, Sir Philip Green, said, “Twenty-five percent of our online traffic for both Topshop and Topman has come from California. I’ve felt for a longtime that we should have a store [in Los Angeles] because it’s a big fashionista city, much like London. There’s a lot happening in fashion and entertainment.”

Topshop currently has more than 400 stores operating in 38 countries, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The new store is at 189 The Grove Drive.
