The much-anticipated exhibit will reveal a rare glimpse of 10 life-size terracotta warriors from the collection of more than 7,000 life-sized figures, which were first unearthed in 1974 in the underground burial complex of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shihuang. The exhibit is set to be unveiled on February 22 and will run through May 22.
At the pre-gala celebratory event on January 30, Dior showcased their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Museum Director, Jay Xu, remarked on Dior’s wonderful collection as a perfect match to the Terracotta Warriors, the eighth ‘Wonders of the World.’
The Opening Night Gala will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2013.
