Rest Rooms for Business Travellers
As anyone who travels Transatlantic knows, jetlag is an inevitable part of the trip. And if you are travelling for business, working on the plane and then going straight to meetings (usually from the airport) is a reality. Between meetings in New York, lunch in London and dinner in Paris, every minute counts. That’s why business travellers in London are heading to the Intercontinental Park Lane to take advantage of their “rest rooms”.
For €20 (about $27) you can enjoy 20 minutes on the dry flotation therapy bed. Wrapped in warm blankets, your body melds into the bed leaving you in an almost weightless state known as passive emersion. This sort of deep relaxation is equal to about three hours sleep, enough to keep you going on a busy day. Have a bit more time? Opt for the “Post-Business Pit Stop”, which includes a 60-minute de-stressing deep tissue massage followed by a blissful 20 minutes on the dry floatation bed. You’ll leave feeling like a new person, guaranteed.
