It is no secret that the PlumpJack Winery, established by Gavin Newsom and Gordon Getty in 1995, is known for the quality of its Cabernet Sauvignon.

PlumpJack Estate’s rare 2010 vintage, produced in a year that presented various growing challenges, has proven to be exceptional. The coveted vintage has been well-received from wine enthusiasts for its dense, opulent nature.

To commemorate PlumpJack’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon release, an elite group of guests gathered for two special events.  The first event, an intimate winemaker dinner hosted by CADE Estate Winery (PlumpJack’s sister winery), was held on Friday, February 1. CADE, a beautiful winery nestled in the hills of Howell Mountain, served as the perfect setting for the release. The elevated location surrounded by nature presents a special experience in and of itself – quiet, and intimate with gorgeous views. In attendance was PlumpJack’s Winemaker, Aaron Miller; CADE winemaker, Danielle Cyrot; Cade Winery Partner John Conover and wife Ann Conover of the Meadowood Napa Valley. Guests had an insiders’ view from winemaker Aaron Miller and the PlumpJack team.

Dinner, served by the Michelin-Rated Restaurant at Meadowood was crafted to perfection. Each course provided a slow and steady buildup to the entree paired with the 2010 PlumpJack Cabernet Sauvignon.
