Haute 100 SF Update: Joe Montana’s Spirit Company Signs New Distribution Agreement

House Spirits Distillery, the Portland-based distillery co-owned by San Francisco 49er Great Joe Montana and business partner Thomas Mooney, has a new distribution agreement that will dispatch its flagship brand, Aviation American Gin, to markets across the country.

Established by Christian Krogstad, House Spirits is one of Portland’s better known craft distillers.

Southern Wine & Spirits, which operates in 35 states, will add Aviation Gin to its product lineup under terms of the deal. Southern operates in Oregon as Southern-Odom Spirits West.

“House Spirits is one of the leaders of the craft distilling revolution, and we’re proud to welcome them into the Southern portfolio of leading brands,” said Rudy Ruiz, Southern’s executive vice president for spirits. “Aviation American Gin has already developed a passionate following, and it has demonstrated the potential to grow into a strong national brand. We look forward to the opportunity to work with House Spirits Distillery to steward the growth of this promising brand.”
