Clive Davis Honored at Billboard’s Power 100 Event

Billboard simultaneously revealed their 2013 Power 100 list last night and celebrated one of its power players in Los Angeles.

Clive Davis (#20 on the list) was on hand at The Redbury to accept Billboard Musical Visionary Award for his A&R work.

Even more impressive, from this year forward, the award has been renamed to further fete Davis for future recipients, and will now be called Billboard’s Clive Davis Musical Visionary Award.

At the event, which was presented by Citi®, Davis said: “I never ever thought that music would become my profession or passion. But I found I loved it. To this day, it keeps me going.”

He added: “It does touch me to know that Billboard is going to put this award in my name. It means I’ve come full circle. I’ve been blessed.”
