Sir Philip Green of Topshop and Topman hosted a celebrity-studded celebration at Cecconi’s West Hollywood to mark the grand opening of Topshop and Topman’s flagship store at The Grove in Los Angeles.
On Feb. 13, one day before the grand opening of Topshop’s first West Coast location, Sir Philip Green hosted a celebration event featuring festive British décor elements and cuisine, along with music by the party’s DJ Solange Knowles. With celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Kate Bosworth, Chris Brown, Will.i.am., Ryan Seacrest, and more, the celebration marks the opening of The Grove’s new 30,000-square-foot, two-story Topshop. The new store will house the brand’s key ranges, Unique, the seasonal London Fashion Week collection, the second TOPSHOP x J.W. Anderson, Boutique- the brand’s premium limited edition line, and more.
The celebration took place from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Cecconi’s West Hollywood on Melrose Avenue. Among the already mentioned stars in attendance, the event also brought in: Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Russell Brand, Lionel Richie, Emma Roberts, Julianne Hough, Kelly Osbourne, Randy Jackson, Solange Knowles, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Estelle, Ellie Goulding, Derek Hough, Ashley Madekwe, Rose McGowan, Nicole Scherzinger, Michelle Trachtenberg, Wilmer Valderrama, Miguel, Paris Hilton, Christa B. Topshop currently has 319 stores in the UK, with an additional 137 international franchises operating in 37 countries. All of the U.S. stores are fully owned flagship stores, as opposed to franchise partners.
Launched in 1964, Topshop is one of the leading British style authorities. The first Topshop flagship store opened in 1994 when the brand opened a 90,000-square-foot space at London’s Oxford Circus, which is still open and attracts around 200,000 shoppers each week. U.S. flagship locations are in New York, Chicago and in Las Vegas, which opened in March 2012 with Fashion Show Mall.
