Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Heading to Moscow
The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has graced many an international stage, but now the troupe is off to its inaugural performance in the land of dance: Moscow. Artistic Director Tom Mossbrucker announced the invitation from the prestigious Vishnevskaya Opera Center over the weekend while the ballet performed in Aspen. They’ll travel to Russia to dance at the Russian Academic Youth Theatre on Theatre Square March 5 and 6.
To help raise money for the trip, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is hosting a fundraiser at the Caribou Club Feb. 27, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A $250 minimum donation is required to attend the send-off event.
