Tory Burch Joins the Billionaire Club
Tory Burch‘s tunics turned her into a household name, and now, into a billionaire. The 46-year-old business tycoon will join the 2013 Forbes World’s Billionaires list as the second youngest self-made female billionaire in America. Only a handful of women including Oprah Winfrey, Meg Whitman and Sara Blakely make the cut each year.
Interestingly, Burch’s newfound billionaire status comes as a result of her ex-husband latest business transaction. Chris Burch recently sold part of his 28.3% stake in the brand to two new investors, finally ending an ongoing legal battle. Though settlement terms have not been disclosed, private company analysts PrivCo believe that both Chris and Tory are now both billionaires thanks to dividends and other assets.
