The Ladies Of Manure Party To Raise Environmental Awareness

News | January 21, 2013

Cafeina is hosting a very special kind of event this Friday. The Fertile Earth Foundation is using the hotspot to launch their calendar, The Ladies of Manure 2013. The calendar costs $25 and features undressed ladies in various poses with, you guessed it, manure. The purpose is to get readers to look at waste differently and remind us all to stay green.  “The average person generates 4.5 pounds of trash every day – about 1.5 tons of solid waste per year. Through this calendar we want to try and get you to rethink all your waste,” explains Executive Director & Co-Founder, Lanette Sobel.

Fertile Earth Foundation is a local environment-minded non-profit best known for its composting initiatives.  The event is Friday, January 25th at 6-8pm and will feature a silent auction, calendars for sale and happy hour specials like $2 sliders. Can’t make the party? Buy your own Lady of Manure calendar on kickstarter.com.
