We feature all the best restaurants in Miami, including the top 5 places for outdoor dining.

Outdoor dining can be tricky in hot Miami summers, but sometimes it’s exactly what’s in order on a luxuriously warm summer day (or night.) Here’s our list of the best al fresco dining.

Cecconi’s

Cecconi’s at Soho Beach House is the ultimate spot of outdoor dining. The retractable roof allows for cover when it rains, shade when there is too much sun, and open sky when conditions are perfect. The food is spectacular as well.

Bianca

Miami Beach’s first amazing outdoor dining space at the Delano remains one of the best thanks to a chic redesign by Sam Robin. It’s new restaurant Bianca offers Italian cuisine, such as squid ink pasta and king salmon.

Restaurant Michael Schwartz

World-famous chef Michael Schwartz has set up shop at The Raleigh, offering cuisine inspired by Miami itself. Audiences can select items off the menu, which is divided into three parts: small, medium, and large, such as chilled zucchini soup and grilled local swordfish.

La Piaggia

La Piaggia is the South of France in South Beach. The secluded beach club is only open for lunch and brunch and is, although covered, entirely outdoors. A French-Mediterranean menu delights with dishes perfect for enjoying with your feet in the sand and a glass of rosé.

Azul

Chef Jacob Anaya currently heads Azul at the Mandarin Oriental. Their terrace overlooking Miami’s skyline and the bay is perfect outdoor dining space. The new menu has a mixture of American and European influences. Our picks? The lobster “pot pie.”
