Check out our reviews of the best restaurants in Chicago, including Firehouse and Timothy O’Toole’s.

It’s a couple things happening around the city and restaurants are in the middle of it. These two restaurants are going above and beyond to make sure their guests have more than just good food. The Chicago Firehouse (1401 South Michigan) restaurant will kick-off a new “movie night” tonight on the patio. Every Wednesday through August 28, the South Loop steakhouse will show a feature film starting at dusk. This evening’s flick is Backdraft, which just so happens to have filmed on site.

In the weeks to come, guests can plan to view:

July 24 – Singin’ In The Rain

July 31 – The Blind Side

August 7 – High Noon

August 14 – Julie & Julia

August 21 – Mamma Mia!

August 28 – Big Night

Dinner specials and specialty themed cocktails will be offered in addition to the regular menu. Reservations may be made by calling 312.786.1401. Movie Night is weather permitting.

Road trip! Timothy O’Toole’s Pub (622 North Fairbanks Court) is seeking out Chicago Bears fans for a fun day in Bourbonnais. On Friday, August 2 at 8 a.m., a chartered coach bus will depart for Bears Training Camp. A $30 fee includes round trip transportation and Miller Lite beverages on the bus. Da Bears will practice from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m., followed by a “Bears BBQ Bash,” featuring food and beverage concessions, live music and alumni signing autographs.

Reservations are accepted at the host stand or may be made by calling O’Toole’s at 312-642-0700.
