News | January 25, 2013

Levinson Jewelers and LPGA Golf star Morgan Pressel teamed up at the 6th Annual Morgan & Friends Fight Cancer Golf Tournament to raise a record $540,000 over January 6 and 7. The event took place at the St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton where members and sponsors of the Morgan Pressel Foundation have raised $2,740,000 to fight breast cancer over the last six years.

The event kicked off with a cocktail reception, dinner and silent and live auctions including a spectacular diamond necklace donated by Levinson Jewelers. Artist Michael Israel created five paintings for the auction live on stage.  In addition to Levinson and St. Andrews members, other partners included fellow LPGA Tour stars Paula Creamer, Brittany Lincicome and Lexi Thompson.

Pressel, who lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of fifteen said, “I am so appreciative of the support from my fellow St. Andrews members who continually amaze me with their generosity towards the foundation and the fight against breast cancer. I also can’t thank the Morgan Pressel Foundation committee enough for their commitment to creating an outstanding event year after year.”
