Native Albanian Fran Camaj catapulted into restaurant fame when he opened Abbot Kinney’s Gjelina, a celebrity favorite, in 2008. Now they restaurateur is in the process of opening up his second eatery on the same street in the former High D High boutique space.
According to Grubstreet, construction has commenced at Camaj’s new restaurant location at 1305 Abbot Kinney. The new 1,248-square-foot restaurant will be built from the ground up and according to schematics published by YoVenice.com, the space will include “outdoor dining, a fifteen-seat bar and eight four-top tables.”
The name of the new restaurant has not yet been released.
