Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards
The Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, which recognizes local television excellence, were held recently. The event was held at The Alhambra Palace Restaurant (1240 W Randolph) and had the who’s who of local television personalities on hand. Chicago Sun-Times columnist emceed the event that honored some of Chicagoland’s favorite television personalities.
Honored at the event were WMAQ Channel 5’s Daniella Guzman and Stefan Holt, WFLD-Channel 32’s Robin Robinson and many more. It was a night filled with people being recognized for their contributions to television but it also showed that organizers of the event were interested in financing the future. Organizers of the event gave out $20,000 in scholarships to journalism students.
