The holiday season is upon us and that means houses of worship are receiving visitors of all kinds, including celebrities. Stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Britney Spears, Martin Sheen and Kelsey Grammar all have their preferred places across town.
The Hollywood Reporter (THR) recently released an overview of some of Hollywood’s mega stars places of worship. According to the report, A-listers like Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder frequent the Bel Air Presbyterian, located on Mulholland Drive overlooking the San Fernando Valley. Anne Sweeney, Martin Sheen and Kelsey Grammar visit the Catholic St. Monica church on California Ave., which is also where Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen married in 2009.
THR also reports that stars like Angela Bassett and Magic Johnson visit the West Angeles Church of God in Christ, a Pentecostal place of worship and a popular congregation among African American stars. Vanessa Williams, Ann DuVal, Frank Sinatra, Merv Griffin and Mark Wahlberg frequent the Church of the Good Shepard on Bedford Drive, while Arianna Huffington, Rita Wilson and Nja Vardalos have been seen at St. Sophia, a Greek Orthodox place of worship.
