Cushnie et Ochs Collaborate with Playboy
New York designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are partnering with Playboy in an effort to improve the flesh-filled magazine’s image. Though this may seem like an unlikely pairing, (the duo recently dressed Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon and Rihanna), the designers say the collaboration came about organically. “Sexy met sexy!”
“Partnering with Playboy presented an opportunity for us to channel Cushnie et Ochs’ seductiveness and feminine aesthetic with Playboy’s signature playful sensuality,” they recently told Fashion Week Daily.
The result: a bondage-inspired leather bralette that retails for $695. “It’s definitely a piece that can be worn as outerwear, under a jacket, or with fitted pencil skirt. It’s a very sultry sophisticated look,” added the designers.
