Lucky Rice Festival Wows at Soho Beach House
Just before Basel, the Luckyrice Festival blew through town and into the Soho Beach House priming revelers for the impending South Beach Food and Wine Festival. Significantly more haute than the name implies, the festival featured serious chefs Norman van Aiken, Todd English and local rising star, Douglas Rodriguez doing their restaurant’s take on Asian fare. A tent on the beach (with a great subfloor as not to get sand in the Jimmy Choos) extended the fun surf side. Music, lanterns and bonfires set the mood as did beautiful girls serving Bombay Sapphire East Gin cocktails at every turn.
