Entourage star Jeremy Piven will attend the inauguration of the InterContinental Miami’s completion of its $30 million renovation and redesign on December 6. The actor will flip the switch and light the hotel’s new 19-story LED Digital Canvas and celebrate the property’s grand opening of Pan-Latin steakhouse Toro Toro.

The Miami skyline will go digital during Art Basel with the lighting of the InterContinental’s new Digital Canvas, which will “become a permanent fixture and continuously updated with new moving images and spectrums of light”, according to a press release. Piven will flip the switch on the two 19-story canvases (one east-facing and one west-facing) alongside General Manager Robert Hill. The evening will also include a showcasing of specially curated exhibit “Light Show: The Exhibit” by photographer Patrick McMullan and Warhol “superstar” Ultra Violet will showcase one of her 9/11 sculptures for the first time in Miami.

Additional hotel renovations will also be unveiled, including select suite designs by tennis star Venus Williams; interactive technology like touchscreen tables in lobby and lounge, a collection of art that will be curated via 18 LCD screens in the lobby, and more.

To celebrate the opening of the hotel’s new Pan-Latin steakhouse, Toro Toro, guests will get to enjoy Chef Sandoval’s showcasing of an enticing array of menu specialties along with cocktails made with ultra-premium Latin spirits.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. on December 6 at the InterContinental Miami at 100 Chopin Plaza, in downtown Miami.
