The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly agreed to a contract worth $147 million over six years with free-agent pitcher Zack Greinke.

After attracting interest from the Dodgers, Texas and the Los Angeles Angels, 29-year-old Greinke is reportedly in the process of finalizing a deal with the Dodgers, pending he passes a physical, USA Today reports.

Once the agreement is complete, Greinke will join Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Josh Beckett, Chris Capuano, Aaron Harang and Ted Lily, who are all under contract with the Dodgers. USA Today also reports that the Dodgers recently “struck an agreement on a six-year, $36 million contract with South Korean star pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin by Sunday’s 5 p.m. ET deadline.” In total, the Dodgers have “$98 million committed to eight starting pitchers in 2013”.
