Derek Jeter Views $25K Chelsea Rental in Quest to ‘Downsize’

News | December 13, 2012

Now that Derek Jeter has sold his penthouse at Trump World Tower and finished a tough baseball season, the Yankee is back on the hunt for a new apartment. The five-time World Series champion previously said he wanted to downsize, and it seems he’s also looking to rent rather than own.

Jeter recently checked out a $25,000-a-month, 4,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-bathroom duplex rental at 129 W. 20th St, reports the New York Post. Though it’s less indoor space than his old place, which amounted to 5,425 square feet, the Yankee captain will have plenty of room to stretch out… and entertain.

The unit has been eyed by several other celebrities throughout the years, including playboy Jude Law and funnyman Russell Brand.
