News | December 12, 2012

They may be the leader in reality television and known for the popular Housewives franchise, Top Chef and breakout series Shahs of Sunset, but new reports indicate that the Bravo network are working producing a new drama revolving around the world of a media mogul.

Written by screenwriter Charles Randolph and playwright Sharyn Rothstein, Moguls is said to be a “drama about a media mogul and his family that is described as being similar in tone to Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing” according to The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

Former Channel Four CEO, Michael Jackson, has been brought on board as the new show’s executive producer. The Moguls announcement comes off the heels of Bravo approving its first two scripted drama pilots, The Joneses and Rita.

According to THR, Moguls will be Rothstein’s first television venture. She previously worked on plays including Queen Bee, Camp Monster and The Invested, among others. Randolph has worked on shows such as The Interpreter and The Life of David Gale. He is also currently working on HBO’s The Missionary, staring Ben Walker.
