Tree Lighting Ceremony and Charity Brunch Events at Village of Merrick Park

Miami’s Village of Merrick Park is kicking off the holiday season with a Roc Center-style tree lighting ceremony, debut of Shop-o-Holly brunches and charity events.

Now in it’s tenth year, Village of Merrick Park’s majestic 50-foot tree will be decorated with over 50,0000 LED lights during the annual tree lighting ceremony on November 15 at 7:30 p.m on San Lorenzo Avenue, Garden level. Spectators are encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift to donate to Marine Corp Toys for Tots.

The celebratory weekend continues with the invitation-only United Way Women’s Leadership end-of-the-year private “thank you” brunch on November 17. The event brings together Miami’s “most driven, powerful women to foster growth and change”.

To close the weekend events, there will be an inaugural Shop-o-Holly brunch, benefitting Humane Society of Greater Miami’s 16th Annual Brunch for the Animals on November 18. Locals, Miami influencers, animal lovers and philanthropists are all invited to “EAT, SHOP and LOVE” for $150 per person. The brunch will include brunch favorites by Sawa, Neiman Marcus, CRAVE, Villagio and C’est Bon along. Merrick Park merchants such as Jimmy Choo, Diane Von Furstenberg, Agent Provocateu, OndadeMar and Adolfo Dominguez will get into the holiday shopping spirit by offering gifts, discounts and donations to brunch guests. The brunch will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
