The Renaissance Society’s 2012 Benefit Gala

News | November 22, 2012

Art enthusiasts and a nice chunk of Chicago’s high society recently came out to support contemporary art gallery The Renaissance Society. Not only was this the 2012 Benefit Gala, it also marks Director Susanne Ghez’s 40th year at the helm so there was much to celebrate. The gala was held at the luxurious Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel where guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and dinner catered by the Radisson Blu. A live auction of artwork was held as well as a silent auction featuring the works of past Renaissance Society artists. The evening featured a special tribute to Ghez by the President of the Board of Directors, Greg Cameron. When it was all said and done the Gala raised more than $677,000 for their 2012-2013 exhibition season.
