Haute Weekend Escape – Four Seasons Hosts the Red Violin and Opus One on December 7th

Just as we face a dreary, rainy weekend in San Francisco, there’s no better time than now to escape to sunny Maui especially now that the Wailea Wine and Food Festival starts in a few weeks on December 6th through the 9th.  So pack up the globetrotter luggage and use your Flexjet Card to enjoy what we think is the hautest event that weekend:  A private concert by Elizabeth Pitcairn with the famous 1720 Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius at the Four Seasons Wailea where under-the-stars, you’ll have a dinner featuring specially elected Opus One vintages paired to a stellar menu by Master Executive Chef Roger Stettler tracing the violin’s illustrious history across centuries in Italy, Montreal, Shanghai and England.

Certainly a once in a lifetime event!  On Friday, December 7th, Chef Stettler and his talented Four Seasons Resort Maui team are promising a delectable five-course repast that will include Lobster Ravioli, Wild Rabbit Terrine, Shanghai Steamed Soup Dumplings, Braised Oxtail, Fried Quail Egg, Black Winter Truffle, and a dessert and cheese buffet created by Executive Pastry Chef Rhonda Ashton with samplings from around the world. The menu will be paired with an inspired selection of Opus One vintages from 1995, 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009.

The “Red Violin Opus One Wine Event” is a premier program that will take place on December 7th, as part of the Wailea Wine and Food Festival in Maui.   Information on other festival events and tickets are available at Wailea Wine and Food Festival.  Tickets to the event  are $795 per person and includes Ocean View Room accommodations on the evening of the event.
