Haute Event: Jaguar Debuts New F-Type + Damian Lewis’ ‘Desire’ Teaser

Jaguar celebrated the launch of its 2013 F-Type with a haute bash at Paramount Studios on Tuesday evening.

In addition to showing off the new vehicle, the car company also offered guests at the ‘British Invasion’ themed event a sneak peek of its collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates, the action-packed film Desire. 

Desire co-stars Damian Lewis of Homeland and Shannyn Sossamon; Lana Del Rey provides the soundtrack to the movie, which will be released in March 2013.

The film tells the story of Clark (Lewis), who delivers cars for a living, running into trouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman (Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert. Directed by Adam Smith, this is a story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed.

Before the 350 assembled VIPS were offered a sneak peek of the new Jaguar (as well as the new Land Rover Range Rover), they nibbled on British fare such as fish and chips and vegetarian shepherd pies and imbibed typically English cocktails like Pimm’s Cups.
