Dori’s World: Thanksgiving Week in Miami

I’m in Miami for the week before Thanksgiving. Who is here…who isn’t here? Mickey Grendene is holding court at Casa Tua, the most fabulous and famous restaurant in Miami, along with me and Claudia Cisneros and Martin Rozenblum, Lucho Noboa and Claudia Noboa, Ines Rivera who just married Ernesto Estrata, Charlotte Freund, Fabian Basabe and Martina Borgomanero.

Some places I’ve swung by this week include Hyde at the new SLS Hotel, the Setai where everyone is staying, dinner in Macaluso’s and Nobu, Lunch at Joes Stone Crab, and I saw my parents in Boca.

One day I went to lunch with Harry, Richard and Karen LeFrak along with Blaine Trump, Karen told us about the music she wrote for the ballet. She is so talented.

Last night I went to Zuma where Karim Masri hosted a great dinner along with Rachel Zoe’s sister Pamela Glassman, Stacy Robbins, Jacki Soffer, and Michael and Christine Hirtenstein.

There are so many people in town like Alexandra con Furstenberg, Ugo and Sarah Columbo,
Rob Vescler, Lesley Thompson, Eleanor Prop, Chris and Richard Mack, Peter David, Ingrid Caseres and Madonna, Jeffery Soffer, Michelle Rubell, and Wayne Boich. I can’t wait for Jon and Lizzie Tisch to open up Lure in the Lowes…and Art Basel in next week!
