Wine, Wise and SOMM at Millennium Tower Fireside Chat

It is no secret that San Francisco’s Millennium Tower residents enjoy the most luxurious perks found nowhere else in the city.  Fireside chats are one such luxury.

Each month, residents have the exclusive opportunity indulge in a special treat known as the Millennium Tower Fireside Chats. As part of the Millennium La Vie social/community program, residents and their guests meet in the clubhouse, mingle, enjoy delectable wines and bites, then sit back for a moderated Fireside chat with the who’s who of the Bay Area.

For the month of October, the Fireside Chat brought a very special guest, film director Jason Wise.

Wise’s upcoming film, SOMM (premiering at the Napa Valley Film Festival) is a feature documentary chronicling one of the hardest exams in the world – the sommelier exam.

SOMM follows four talented young sommeliers, in San Francisco at the time, as they cram for the grueling, notoriously difficult Master Sommelier exam, a test devoted to the pairing of wine, spirits and food on a global level.

Wise was the first “outsider” to gain access to the cut-throat world of the Master Sommelier exam.  Millennium Tower Residents were next in line as they viewed exclusive clips and insider information from Wise himself.
