Members Only Club 41 Ocean Coming to Santa Monica

Santa Monica is about to get a whole lot more exclusive thanks to a new members only club opening its doors to a select few.

It is thought that 41 Ocean will reside in the spot recently vacated by Abode, located just off of Ocean Avenue.

A private investment group is allegedly turning the establishment into a California-Spanish Revivalist eatery, to be helmed by a still-unnamed celebrity chef.

Reports Eater of the spot, which is being built by Matt Winter of Sassafras and Oldfield’s: “The hacienda-like expanse will occupy three rooms and spread out on the patio space between the adjacent buildings. The front area that extends out onto Ocean Avenue will be closed off and the entrance will be routed to the back alley, where a valet stand will take cars.”

The restaurant is looking to open its doors to its members-only clientele in December.
