Luxury Hotel ME London to Launch November 1

Luxury experience-based hotel group ME by Meliá has announced it will launch its flagship hotel, ME London, on November 1. Designed entirely by Foster + Partners, ME London is located in Marconi House on the Strand on the southern tip of Covent Garden.

Founded by Lord Norman Foster, ME London is situated in the heard of the city’s action, close to theaters, shopping and nightlife. The cutting edge, luxury hotel is on the site of the former Gaitey Theater, Strand Music Hall and Marconi House, where the BBC set their first office and first broadcasted music, one of the key attributes of the experienced-based personality hotel.

ME London features 157 individually designed rooms with floor to ceiling windows, including 16 suites, that provide an urban retreat with a variety of room types and layouts, including rooms with private terraces on the upper two levels and individual suites with large, separate marble bathrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the bedroom space with views of the city’s skyline, taking in world famous sights such as the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, London Bridge, Covent Garden and the River Thames. The rooms feature the latest acoustic soundproofing and integrated digital MediaHubs, sumptuous bedding and premium bath amenities. Suspended from the white leather walls of each room, there is a black lacquered cabinet, which incorporates a television and entertainment system, back-lit onyx shelves and a fully stocked minibar. Discreet lighting and services, including the FLO table light by Foster + Partners are also incorporated into rooms. Included luxuries in all bedrooms are: Built-in adaptors for Europe and USA; integrated digital MediaHub; TV guest messaging; cordless and speaker phone system; custom-control mood lighting; comfortable sitting area; desk area; in-room bar experience; tea/coffee facilities; hairdryer; in-room laptop safe with built-in charging; iron and ironing board; pillow menu; in room Spa menu; turndown service; DVD/CD library; books library.

Guests also can enjoy exceptional dining experiences at the hotel’s STK London restaurant. There is also meeting space for between 10-300 people in 6 flexible meeting rooms and one large function space, with the latest technology.
